COVID-19 Safety 3.0

You can review our previous COVID-19 safety protocols put in place in the past here, here, and here. The following will apply starting Monday, June 7, 2021.

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”-Frank Herbert, Dune

It has been 3 weeks since Overlord Governor Hogan followed the CDC guidance and has lifted the indoor Maryland mask mandate, and with COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths down; and with 70% of Marylander’s vaccinated with at least one shot, and with over 450,000 people who had COVID-19 and recovered from it not counting towards vaccinations but helping herd immunity, we will no longer be requiring masks to be worn by members or coaches.

Now, we are not throwing caution into the wind, and we are still following the science, since it was said all along that science doesn’t care about political affiliation or ideology, nor does science care about a specific narrative, only the truth.

You will still be socially distanced while in functional fitness classes, and currently we are still only allowing 12 per class. Anyone is still able to wear a mask if they so choose, because it is a personal choice. It is still recommended (but not required) to wear a mask also if you are not vaccinated, at high risk due to an autoimmune disease or if you have a weakened immune system, or if you care for high risk individuals who are not vaccinated.

We will continue to keep sanitizing all equipment between classes, you will still only be allowed to come to classes in which you are signed up for via Zenplanner.
